John Felix currently serves as a General Partner and Head of Research at Pattern Ventures since September 2024. Previously, John held the position of Head of Emerging Managers at Allocate from January 2022 to August 2024, where responsibilities included leading the firm's emerging VC manager investment practice. Prior to this, John was a Senior Investment Associate at Bowdoin College, and a Senior Associate at Edgehill Endowment Partners LLC, focusing on venture capital fund commitments. John's earlier experience includes roles at Washington University in St. Louis, where investment analyses covered various asset classes, and an internship at Blue Ridge Capital. In addition to finance, John was a lead guitarist in a jazz/rock quintet performing in the New York City area. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Finance and Entrepreneurship from Washington University in St. Louis.
