Dustin Goot started their career in 2008 as a Product Manager at Hachette Filipacchi Media, where they implemented new site features and led initiatives to improve website content and increase revenue. Dustin then worked as a Business Analyst at Hearst Digital in 2010 before moving to NBCUniversal, Inc. as a Digital Entertainment Strategy & Operations Intern. In 2011, Dustin worked as a Product Management Intern at Yahoo! and later joined IndieGoGo.com and Trium Entertainment as a Business Development Associate. In 2012, they became the Director of Gorilla advertising programs at Fullscreen, Inc. and also started working as the Vice President of Influencer Strategy & Operations at ZEFR. In 2015, they transitioned to the role of Senior Director, Sales Strategy at ZEFR. From 2019 to 2022, Dustin worked as the Head of Creator Monetization at TikTok. Currently, they are serving as the VP of Creator Product and Strategy at Pattern®.

Dustin Goot completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Economics, and German from Grinnell College in the years 1995 to 1999. Later, they pursued an MBA degree from the UCLA Anderson School of Management from 2010 to 2012.
