Umar Farooq

Umar Farooq is a seasoned information technology executive with extensive experience in IT strategy and implementation. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Information Technology at Patterson-UTI since January 2024, Umar previously held the role of Vice President of Information Technology at both Patterson-UTI and NexTier Oilfield Solutions from November 2019 to January 2024. Prior to these positions, Umar was a Senior Manager at Deloitte, focusing on IT strategy, and also served as a DC Manager overseeing various commercial and planning areas. Additionally, Umar began a career as an SAP SD Consultant at Baker Hughes. Umar holds a Chief Information Officer (CIO) Certification in IT Strategy from Carnegie Mellon University and has completed a course in Cybersecurity from HarvardX.
