Yen Kuan Gan

Yen Kuan Gan has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. They have held roles in journalism, content writing, activism support, and fundraising. Yen Kuan's most recent position is as a Data Management & Analytics Officer at the Paul Ramsay Foundation, where they support the foundation's work in creating opportunities for disadvantaged individuals and communities. Prior to this, Yen Kuan worked as a Project Officer at the Judith Neilson Institute, managing grants and education projects and implementing a web-based grant management system. They also have experience in fundraising, having served as a Prospect Development Manager at UNSW and a Prospect Research/Pipeline Associate at the University of Sydney. In addition, Yen Kuan has a background in journalism, having worked as a reporter at Bloomberg LP, covering emerging markets in Asia and writing news articles on stocks, politics, and the economy. They have also held roles as a Senior Writer at The Edge Media Group, where they covered corporate and capital market news in Malaysia, and as an Editor at Jas-In Design, overseeing the editorial production of home decoration and interior design magazines. Yen Kuan has strong research, writing, and project management skills and has received recognition for their leadership and contribution to building positive and productive team cultures.

Yen Kuan Gan completed a Master's degree in International Multimedia Journalism at Newcastle University from 2009 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Communication from Universiti Sains Malaysia, which they attended from 2002 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, Yen Kuan Gan also acquired a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster® from Scrum Alliance in July 2016.
