James Hicklin

James Hicklin is a seasoned software engineer and team leader with extensive experience in developing decision support applications, primarily in the healthcare sector. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead at Altrio since February 2023, James has also held significant roles at the Centre for Health Evaluation and Outcome Sciences (CHÉOS) since May 2014, leading the development of the decideapp using Ruby on Rails and AngularJS. As the owner of J&G Hicklin Consulting Ltd., James specializes in creating patient decision aids and other value-based decision-support tools. Prior experience includes leadership in software engineering at Pavestep, contributions to customized logistics solutions at KNAPP Logistics Automation, and various development roles in academia and other sectors. James holds a Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia.
