Christopher Hartnick

Medical Advisor at PAVmed

Dr. Christopher Hartnick has served as a member of PAVmed’s Medical Advisory Board since November 2016. Dr. Hartnick is also a medical device innovator. His breakthroughs have led to the revolutionary resorbable ear tube technology that PAVmed is developing and commercializing.

Dr. Hartnick is an accomplished otolaryngologist. He currently serves is the Director of the Pediatric Otolaryngology Division and the Director of the Pediatric Airway, Voice, and Swallowing Center at Massachusetts Eye and Ear.

Dr. Hartnick has been a professor at Harvard Medical School since 2001. Earlier that same year, he received his Masters of Science in epidemiology from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Previously, he completed his fellowship training in pediatric otolaryngology at Cincinnati’s Children’s Hospital. He performed his general surgery residency in 1995 and his otolaryngology residency in 1999, both at the Montefiore Medical Center in New York. Prior to this, Dr. Hartnick earned his medical degree in 1994 from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University.

Dr. Hartnick has authored 144 peer-reviewed publications He serves as the Physician Director on the Mass. Eye and Ear Board of Directors and is the Vice Chair of Clinical Trials and Outcomes for the Department of Otolaryngology. He is an editor for ENT Journal, a reviewer for Journal of Voice, and an ad-hoc reviewer for several other publications.
