Ketra Birungi is a seasoned professional in risk management and compliance, currently serving as the Risk and Compliance Manager at pawaPay since June 2025. Prior to this role, Ketra held the position of Risk Operations Lead at Wave Mobile Money from November 2023 to June 2025, and served as the Enterprise Risk Manager at Action Against Hunger | ACF-USA from January 2022 to November 2023. Ketra's career began at UAP Old Mutual Uganda, where the roles included Risk and Compliance Specialist and Accounts Assistant from January 2012 to January 2022. Ketra holds a Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Economics from Makerere University.
