Ibrahim Basmer

Ibrahim Basmer's work experience begins in 2011 with a role as an Assistant Accountant at Humphrey & Co. Ibrahim then worked as a Peer Assisted Learning Scheme (PALS) Leader at The University of Plymouth from 2013 to 2014. Following that, they joined Computershare in 2017, initially as an Asset Reconciliation Analyst, and then as a Cash Management, Operations & Controls Analyst until 2018. Ibrahim then worked at ORX Association as a Research Support Analyst from 2018 to 2019, and subsequently as a Quantitative Research Analyst from 2019 to 2020. In 2020, they joined OVO as an Energy Risk Analyst, where they worked until 2021. Currently, Ibrahim is employed at Pax2pay, initially as a Senior Data Analyst from 2021 to 2023, and then as a Lead Data Analyst from 2023 onwards. During their time at Pax2pay, they developed machine learning algorithms for flight price prediction, created data pipelines for data migration, established CICD pipelines, and automated finance billing reports for clients.

Ibrahim Basmer completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Finance from the University of Plymouth in 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Financial Economics from the same institution in 2015. In 2014, Ibrahim attended a Summer School program at Shanghai Maritime University. Ibrahim started their education journey at Sussex Downs College in 2010, focusing on Physical Sciences and Mathematics until 2012. In addition to their formal education, Ibrahim has obtained certifications including "Python for Data Science and Machine Learning Bootcamp" from Udemy, "Google Data Studio - Master the Advanced Concepts" from Udemy, and "Certificate in Operational Risk Management" from The Institute of Operational Risk (IOR).
