Michael Begg

Michael Begg is a Policy Manager at Pay.UK, a position they have held since 2022. Previously, they served as a Senior Associate at the Payment Systems Regulator from 2014 to 2022, and held various roles including Head of Regulatory Policy at the Isle of Man Communications Commission and Senior Consultant at Perspective Associates. Michael's career began as an Analyst at NERA Economic Consulting from 1998 to 2001, and they have also worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at the University of Edinburgh. They earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the European University Institute and a Master of Arts in Communication from Goldsmiths, University of London.
