Sam Cope

Sam Cope currently serves as the Head of Regulatory Affairs at Pay.UK since May 2019, providing essential advisory support to the Board and Executive on regulatory issues, particularly in the areas of economic and macro-prudential regulation, policy, and engagement. Prior to this role, Sam held multiple positions at the Payment Systems Regulator, including Head of Economic Regulation and Policy and Senior Policy Manager, from August 2015 to April 2019. Sam's career also includes significant experience at Ofgem, where duties included Senior Manager roles in Policy Development and Offshore Regime Development. Educational credentials include an MSc in Economic Regulation and Competition from City, University of London and a BSc in Economics and Politics from the University of Southampton.
