Jordi Pascual

Jordi Pascual has a diverse work experience in the field of e-commerce and payments. Jordi served as the eCOMMERCE & ACQUIRING PAYMENTS DIRECTOR / BUSINESS CARDS DIRECTOR at Banco Sabadell, where they managed a team responsible for cross-border and Spanish e-commerce and face-to-face payments. Jordi was involved in all aspects of the payment business, including processing platform development, POS terminals, sales, rules, procedures, and innovation.

In 2018, Pascual became the CEO of PAYCOMET, a company specializing in payments.

Additionally, they worked as a professor and coordinator for the postgraduate program in e-commerce at IL3 - Universitat de Barcelona (UB) since 2016. Jordi was responsible for designing the program and teaching the "Electronic Payments" class.

Pascual also served as a professor at BES La Salle - Ramon Llull University and IEBS Business School since 2014.

Prior to these roles, they worked at CatalunyaCaixa as the E-COMMERCE DIRECTOR from 1999 to 2012.

Jordi also has experience as a researcher in various projects, including a confidential European research program focused on establishing a secure platform for multiple service applications. Jordi was also involved in research projects related to secure payments under TCP/IP protocols and based on EMV Smart Card technology.

Jordi Pascual’s education history includes pursuing a degree in Superior Technical Engineering of Telecommunications from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Additionally, they have also studied computer science at the same institution.
