Matt Vigil has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Matt began their career as a Junior Designer at Agency.com, where they worked on corporate identity and promotional projects for clients such as Nike and British Airways. Matt then joined StarMedia Networks as an Art Director, where they played a key role in brand development, web design, and advertising revenue. Matt went on to work as a Senior Designer/Art Director at JPMorgan Chase, where they led a team and implemented new corporate visual systems. Matt subsequently served as a Contract Creative Director at donotcross studios, working with clients such as the New York Times, Fed Ex, and Warner Brothers. In 2006, Matt joined Payden & Rygel as a Creative Director and Senior Vice President, leading visual development, managing teams, and directing rich brand experiences. Matt played a significant role in the redesign of the company's flagship publication, Point of View. Overall, Matt has a strong background in creative direction, brand development, and design for various platforms.

Matt Vigil attended the University of Arizona from 1989 to 1995 and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design and Art History. Matt also earned a Bachelor's degree in Design and Visual Communications, General from the University of Arizona, although the specific dates are unknown. Prior to their university education, Matt attended Taos High School.
