Tobi Ogunbiyi

Tobi Ogunbiyi has a wealth of experience in software engineering. Tobi currently serves as the Director of Software Engineering at Payfare Inc. Prior to this, they were the Co-Founder of Black Mentorship In Technology (BlackMINT), a Canadian Non-profit dedicated to increasing Black representation in the technology workforce. Tobi also held Senior Engineering Manager and Engineering Manager roles at Opencare.com. From 2014 to 2012, they were a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead, as well as a Software Engineer, at FreshBooks. In 2012, they Co-founded and served as a Software Engineer at DivNotes. Tobi also worked as a Software Application Developer Intern at NexJ Systems Inc. from 2011 to 2010, and as an Undergraduate Summer Research Student at the Software Engineering Research Group, University of Toronto, where they developed an Eclipse plug-in for managing software models, created an efficient solution to implement aggregate mappings, and implemented aggregate mappings for the tool using Java reflection and serialization.

Tobi Ogunbiyi graduated from the University of Toronto in 2013 with a B.Sc. (Hons.) with Distinction in Computer Science. Tobi began their studies at the University of Toronto in 2008.
