Willem Nolens

Willem Nolens is an experienced professional in the fields of energy and finance, currently serving as the Managing Director at PAYGo Lab since January 2023, focusing on addressing consumer credit challenges in off-grid solar. Willem is the Owner of NatureCredits, promoting the recovery of underutilized agricultural land in Europe, and has been engaged with microsun BV since October 2008. Previous roles include Senior Advisor at Catalyst Energy Advisors, Head of Finance & Operations at Rewilding Europe, and CEO at SolarNow, which provided solar solutions in Uganda and Kenya. Willem's early career featured significant contributions as Managing Director at Rural Energy Foundation, General Manager at ASA International, and as a Consultant for ProCredit Bank and Aon Risk Services. Academically, Willem holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Groningen and further education from INSEAD.
