Justin Stout

Justin Stout has been working in the software engineering field since 2011. Justin began their career at Lexmark Enterprise Software as a Software Engineer Intern and then progressed to a Software Engineer. During their time there they implemented automated systems for building complex software projects and running extensive unit, integration, system, and UI tests. Justin also maintained and improved their multi-stage software delivery pipeline using systems such as Jenkins, Gradle, and Chef. In 2016, they joined PayIt as a Senior Software Engineer. At PayIt, they led teams and wrote backend services that process significant financial transaction volume daily. Justin also designed a modular data storage system with a standardized REST API to support extensive platform-wide configuration management from a GUI, replacing several ad-hoc and hardcoded legacy systems. Justin deployed these solutions onto Kubernetes clusters, with network fault-tolerance, data validation, and graceful failure handling built into the application architecture by design.

Justin Stout obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science and Mathematics from Southwest Baptist University between 2011 and 2015. In January 2020, they also obtained a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
