Egemen B.

Egemen B. has a wealth of work experience in Data Science. Egemen began their career in 2016 as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stockholm University, where they used statistical programming language R to study the relationship between economic development and international conflicts. In 2018, they joined National Sun Yat-Sen University as a Postdoctoral Researcher, where they applied machine learning methods to detect the relationship between climate change and economic development. In 2020, Egemen B. joined Evidence Partners as a Data Scientist, where they created a scalable natural language processing pipeline using scikit-learn and spaCy for multiclass classification to support workflows in life sciences domains. In 2021, they joined NovaceneAI as a Data Scientist, where they implemented Natural Language Processing pipelines utilizing scikit-learn, gensim, spaCy, Transformers, and PyTorch among others according to customer requirements. Finally, Egemen B. is currently a Senior Data Scientist at Payla.

Egemen B. began their educational journey in 2002 when they graduated from Kadıköy Anadolu Lisesi ve Maarif Koleji with a High School Diploma. Egemen then attended Bilkent University from 2007 to 2011 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs. From 2009 to 2010, Egemen B. attended the University of Maine and received a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government. In 2011 and 2012, they attended The Johns Hopkins University - Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and obtained a Master's degree in International Economics. Egemen B. then attended Istanbul University from 2012 to 2014 and received a Master's degree in Political Science and Government. Lastly, Egemen B. attended the University of Nottingham from 2014 to 2017 and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Intelligence Studies.
