James Bays

James Bays serves as the Director of Cloud Transformation at Paylocity since June 2022, overseeing the Cloud Center of Excellence and various IT functions including FinOps, Virtualization, and Disaster Recovery. Prior to this role, James held positions at Hewlett Packard Enterprise as Director of the Cloud Transformation Practice, and at Cloud Technology Partners as Principal Cloud Architect, providing cloud consulting services to major corporations. Earlier career experience includes managing international systems teams at Videology, Inc. as the Manager of Systems and leading strategic operations at SAIC as the Enterprise Systems Team Lead. James holds an MBA from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.
