Raktim Mitra

Raktim Mitra is an experienced leader in credit risk management and analytics, currently serving as the Head of Credit Card Risk and Head of Global Credit Risk Analytics at PayPal since November 2024. Prior to this role, Raktim held the position of Chief Lending Officer at Varo Bank from January 2022 to November 2024, as well as Senior Director at Carvana and VP of Credit Risk Strategy for Apple Card at Goldman Sachs. At Goldman Sachs, Raktim managed key risk strategies and developed core underwriting risk models. Raktim's career also includes significant roles at Lending Club, Discover Financial Services, and experience as a Business Analyst at Mu Sigma. Raktim holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka and an MS in Industrial & Systems Engineering (Operations Research) from Virginia Tech.
