Dan Gifford, MS has a wealth of experience in software development. Dan began their career in 2006 with McKenney's, Inc. as a Co-Op. In 2007, they moved to Gifford Engineering as a Software Engineer, where they worked with .NET 2.0/3.0. In 2008, they became an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Georgia Tech - CCG Lab, where they won "Best Poster" and 3rd place for the College of Computing at the institute wide UROP and UROC research symposiums. Dan also coordinated with senior PhD students to model and partially prototype children's toys for use in the possible early detection of autism, and developed a wireless time syncing protocol between BlackBerries and cars for use in a study determining the safety of texting while driving. In 2009, they took on two roles, first as a Software Engineer at Driver9, where they partially built an n-tier website with a complex SQL Server back end and designed a custom ad distribution system. Dan also worked as a Software Engineer at Ingenious Med, where they acted as a subject matter expert (BlackBerry) in a team of 3 which ported over an existing medical charge capture web app to the BlackBerry. In 2011, they joined BlackBerry as a Mobile Application Developer, where they took on a lead functional role for a 2+ million dollar project which allowed SAP SRM carts to be approved, rejected and forwarded using BlackBerry mobile phones. From 2012-2015, they worked as the Owner of Gifford Software Consulting LLC, where they worked with Linux, C#, and .NET 3.5 & 4. Dan also worked as a Senior Software Developer (Contract) and Software Developer (Contract) at Hyrel 3D, where they worked with C#, Winforms, and .NET 3.5 & 4. From 2015-2017, they worked at T-Tech, Inc. as a Senior Software Designer, where they implemented rollouts for high-end clients, and as a Software Developer, where they added Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 support for the software. In 2017, they joined Payspan, now part of Zelis, as a Software Developer, where they worked with ASP.NET WebForms and .NET CORE 3.

Dan Gifford holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, which they attained in 2009. Dan then went on to earn a Master of Science in Software Engineering from Kennesaw State University in 2020. Most recently, they are pursuing a Master of Business Administration from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University, which they are expected to complete in 2024.
