Steven Furman

Steven Furman has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Steven is the Founder & CEO of Paytime, an Earned Wage Access provider that allows Australian workers to access their wages/salary on-demand. Prior to this, Steven served as the Director & Chairman of OptiPay, offering Invoice Finance and Trade Finance to businesses. Steven has also worked as the Director of Private Equity at HighPoint Capital Pty Ltd, making investments in small to medium-sized companies. Steven has held non-executive director roles at Placard Holdings Pty Ltd, a secure plastic card manufacturer, and Bluepoint Aviation, a global aged aircraft leasing business. Steven was also a non-executive director at M&O Global Pty Limited, a safety and rescue training business. Earlier in their career, Steven served as Director of M&A Advisory at Inteq Limited and as a Portfolio/Investment Manager at Brait SE Limited. Steven began their career as the Chief Operating Officer and General Manager at L J Nathan Optical, where they oversaw retail store roll-outs and inventory management.

Steven Furman obtained their Bachelor of Optometry (Honors) degree in Applied Science from the University of Johannesburg in the period from 1991 to 1995. Later, in 1997 to 1998, they pursued an MBA degree focusing on Finance & Entrepreneurship at Bond University. Additionally, in 2013, they completed a certificate program titled "Grow to Greatness: Smart Growth for Private Businesses" offered by the University of Virginia through Coursera.
