Akshay Bansal

Akshay Bansal has a diverse work experience in finance and taxation. AKSHAY started their career as an Article Assistant at Gupta Vigg & Co. in 2011, followed by a similar role at Anil Yash & Associates from 2012 to 2014. In 2015, they joined KPMG India as an Audit Senior, working on assignments related to auditing under Indian GAAP and US GAAP.

In 2017, Bansal joined PayU as an Assistant Manager-Finance. AKSHAY played a crucial role in the integration and merger of Citrus Pay into PayU, ensuring seamless adherence to new accounting standards. AKSHAY later moved up to the role of Manager-Tax, leading the India tax function and providing active tax advice to the business team on GST matters. In 2019, they were promoted to Senior Manager-Tax and took on additional responsibilities related to international business.

Bansal continued to grow in their career at PayU and became Associate Director - Global tax in 2022. AKSHAY led the group restructuring to prepare PayU India for public listing and coordinated with lawyers, tax advisors, and compliance teams across multiple jurisdictions. In 2023, they were appointed as Director-Finance, heading the tax function for PayU Group in India. AKSHAY'srole involved advising on optimal tax structures, transfer pricing policies, managing tax risks and audits, and handling GST aspects globally.

Throughout their career, Bansal gained extensive knowledge in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, international taxation, valuation, and compliance.

Akshay Bansal attended ICAI from 2010 to 2014, where they pursued a degree in an unspecified field of study. In 2018, they obtained a certification in Leadership Agility from Routledge Taylor & Francis Group.
