Chris Boyce

Chris Boyce has a diverse range of work experience in the environmental and IT fields. Chris started their career at Portland Public Schools in 2001, where they served as the Coordinator of Environmental Programs. In this role, they managed various environmental programs, including asbestos management, air quality investigations, and GIS support. In 2009, Boyce joined Kapala IT on a contract with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management as a GIS Technician/Cartographer. Chris'sresponsibilities focused on updating federal land status records. Since 2011, Boyce has been employed at PBS Engineering and Environmental Inc. as a Project Manager. Chris has worked on hazardous materials inspection and remediation projects, with a particular emphasis on lead paint stabilization projects for Portland Public Schools as part of the PPS 2017 Health, Safety, and Modernization Bond. Boyce's expertise includes site surveys, project design, abatement services project oversight, and compliance air monitoring.

Chris Boyce earned a GIS Graduate Certificate from Portland State University from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Providence College, which they attended from 1991 to 1995. In addition, Chris Boyce has various certifications, including AHERA Asbestos Management Planner, AHERA Asbestos Project Designer, AHERA Inspector, and Lead-Based Paint Inspector/Risk Assessor.
