Ava X. R.

Ava X. R. is an experienced TV writer and consultant specializing in autism and disability representation in the entertainment industry. Currently, Ava serves as a TV writer for PBS's CARL THE COLLECTOR, set to premiere in November 2024, and as an autistic creative consultant for the Broadway musical How to Dance in Ohio, which opened in December 2023 and is scheduled for a UK debut in 2025. Additional roles include ambassador for the Birthright Israel Foundation, DEIA + Autism consultant for Disability Belongs, and previous positions at 9 Story Media Group, the Smithsonian Institution, and Nickelodeon Animation. Ava holds a Bachelor of Arts in Writing and Theatre from Sarah Lawrence College and has contributed to promoting equitable representation through consulting on various productions and participating in speaking engagements on intersectionality and inclusion.
