Silvia Lovato

Silvia Lovato serves as the Sr. Director and Head of Learning & Research at PBS KIDS, having held various key positions within PBS since 2000. In the current role, Silvia oversees research initiatives and educational programming for children. Prior to this, Silvia managed a multimillion-dollar grant to enhance a multimedia website and successfully developed the PBS KIDS online video service, achieving a top-ranking position among kids' video sites in the U.S. Additionally, Silvia has represented PBS at numerous prestigious industry events. Education credentials include a Ph.D. in Media, Technology & Society from Northwestern University, an MA in Communication, Culture and Technology from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul.
