David Boehm

David Boehm, CPA has over 40 years of work experience in various roles and industries. David is currently the President of David Boehm, CPA and Company Inc., a Microsoft Partner and Cloud Solution Provider. In this role, they offer subscriptions, extensions, implementation, and support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and other "Power" technologies within the Office 365 suite. David also partners with Avalara and Wolters Kluwer/CCH to assist clients with Saas sales tax implementation and utilization.

Prior to their current position, David was the Controller for Flange Protection and Gaskets, Inc., an oilfield equipment manufacturing company. During their time there, they reorganized the accounting processes, implemented a system of internal control, and developed and implemented the company's financial and managerial reporting structure.

Before that, David worked at Burlington Northern Santa Fe as the Director of Information Systems Audit. In this role, they co-managed a staff of 28 internal auditors and helped transform the audit function into a modern corporate audit function. David also managed the accounting portions of due diligence reviews for BNSF's corporate acquisitions and dispositions.

David also has experience working as a Software Developer for Dart Technologies, Inc. and as an Accounting Manager for GC Services Limited Partnership. David started their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an I.T. Audit Supervisor and later worked as a Staff Accountant at Baker Hughes.

David Boehm, CPA obtained their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the state of Texas in February 1991. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University from 1976 to 1978. David also holds an Associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Schoolcraft College, which they completed from 1974 to 1976. In addition to their formal education, David Boehm has obtained several certifications throughout their career, including a Certified Master's certification in Microsoft Dynamics SL from Microsoft in September 2003, a Microsoft edX Verified Certificate for Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Power BI from edX in January 2016, and an Essentials of CertCapture: Set up CertCapture certification from Avalara University in July 2018.
