Sherrif Karamat

Sherrif Karamat is a seasoned leader in the field of business events, currently serving as President & CEO of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) since October 2003. Under Karamat's leadership, PCMA has become the largest global network of Business Event Strategists, focusing on driving economic and social transformation through business events. Previously, Karamat held the positions of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Partner Relations Officer at PCMA, where efforts were concentrated on long-term growth and strategic direction, as well as transitioning the organization into a data-driven entity. Karamat also served as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Business Sales and Client Services at Tourism Toronto from 1995 to 2003. Karamat's academic background includes an MBA in Marketing and International Business from the Schulich School of Business at York University and a BAS in International Marketing from York University's Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, supplemented by involvement in Toastmasters.
