Doug Wescott has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Doug is currently working at PCTEL as the Hardware Section Head since January 2018, where they previously served as the Principal Hardware Engineer from April 2017 to January 2018, and as a Senior Digital Hardware Engineer from April 2008 to April 2017. Prior to joining PCTEL, Doug worked at Thales Communications as a Sr Hardware Engineer from May 2006 to April 2008, where they were responsible for leading the design and development of system interface unit (SIU) boards for handheld soldier radio platforms. Before that, they had a long tenure at Texas Instruments, where they held the position of Sr Hardware Engineer from March 1998 to May 2006. Doug'srole at Texas Instruments involved designing, documenting, and debugging voice over packet hardware platforms using various processors, memory interfaces, and telephony interfaces. Doug began their career at Sotas as a Hardware Engineer, where they designed test equipment for telephone companies and worked on projects from specification to production. Doug also has experience as an Engineering CoOp at The Raymond Corporation, New York Power Authority, and AVX, where they gained hands-on experience in building, testing, and debugging electronic circuit boards, reviewing procedures for operability, and testing ceramic capacitors, respectively.
Doug Wescott completed their high school education at Greenwich High School from 1985 to 1988. Following their high school graduation, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology from 1988 to 1993, earning a BSEE degree.
