Mark Carl

Mark Carl currently serves as the Chief Security Officer at PDI Software, a position held since January 2021, following the acquisition of Managed Security Services from ControlScan. Mark has also been an advisor at Thompson Street Capital Partners since December 2014, providing strategic technology consulting for portfolio companies. Prior to these roles, Mark was the Chief Executive Officer at ControlScan from May 2017 to January 2021 and at EchoSat Communications Group from December 2014 to May 2017. Mark’s earlier experience includes a position as Chief Technology Officer and Cloud Architect at EchoSat Communications from June 1999 to December 2014, a Systems Engineer at IntraSource from 1997 to 1999, and military service with the US Army National Guard from 1991 to 1999 in the 20th Special Forces Group. Mark also held the title of MIS Director at Mas-Hamilton Group from 1996 to 1997. Mark's education includes training at the Defense Language Institute from 1991 to 1992.
