Max Abend

Max Abend is a seasoned legal and data professional with extensive experience in the financial services sector. Currently serving as Executive Director and Vice President at PDT Partners since July 2017, Max also co-heads the FISD Alternative Data Council, a leadership role initiated in January 2019 that involves collaborating with industry experts to develop voluntary standards for alternative data. Prior to this, Max was a Litigation Associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP from September 2013 to June 2017, focusing on complex litigation matters including patent and trademark cases. Max earned a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a BBA in Information Systems with a Security Concentration from Western Connecticut State University.
