Mete Karakaya

Mete Karakaya is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in quantitative research and management at PDT Partners since July 2014, holding various titles including Managing Director, Executive Director, Vice President, and Associate. Prior to this, Mete served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Chicago and worked as a Lecturer at Bogazici University. Notable internships include research roles at the Central Bank of Turkey, Merrill Lynch, and DRW Trading Group. Academically, Mete earned a PhD and MA in Economics from the University of Chicago, as well as a BA in Economics and Business from Boğaziçi University. Early education was completed at Tarsus American High School.
