Worapol Ngamcherdtrakul

Worapol (Boom) Ngamcherdtrakul serves as the Head of Research and COO at PDX Pharmaceuticals since October 2015, leading the company's R&D initiatives and overseeing therapeutic and vaccine candidate development utilizing patented polymer-modified mesoporous silica nanoparticles for targeted delivery. Responsibilities include designing experiments, generating data for various publications, and writing federal research grant applications. Notably, Worapol has successfully secured several SBIR grants from the National Cancer Institute and the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences. Prior experience includes roles as Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist at OHSU, where foundational work on nanoparticle platforms for cancer drug delivery was conducted. Worapol earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Oregon Health & Science University and a Bachelor's degree in Bio-nanoengineering from Chulalongkorn University.
