PE delivers the most powerful integrated production modelling software on the market — engineered for precision, built for integration, and validated by the global technical community.

In 1990, while seemingly obvious now, the idea of Integrated Production Modelling was seen as a nice idea, but not a feasible one. In seamlessly and dynamically integrating fluids, reservoirs, wells and combined network into one cohesive and communicating physical model, PE Ltd changed the game for modelling and optimisation. The goal? Ultimately enabling better understanding of asset behaviour, leading to better informed strategic decisions for field management, all while maintaining consistent data and assumptions. The plans for the real time Digital Oil Field began in 1992, with development beginning in 1996. Truly ahead of its time. Innovation has never stopped, and today the largest energy companies in the world rely on our software across 100 countries.

The company remained intentionally slim, only breaking 100 employees for the first time in 2025. Impressive when reflecting on the relative market dominance over the decades. But with the future and the power of the tools, comes bright opportunity. AI is the words on everyone’s lips, now implemented within the tools, PE have branched out into mining, with many more new ventures already planned for the coming decades.
