Sophia Sanchez

Sophia Sanchez is a dedicated professional with a diverse background in youth development, education, and communication. Currently serving as a Youth Development Coordinator for the Peace Corps, Sophia implements the YES, Youth Empowered by Sports project in Belize, focusing on empowering youth. Previous experiences include a FoodPrints Summer Internship, where assistance was provided in teaching hands-on cooking and gardening lessons, and serving as an Admissions Assistant at Georgetown University's Undergraduate Admissions Office, tracking applications and representing the office at events. As an Assistant Art Teacher at Holy Trinity School Georgetown, lesson plans were developed for pre-k through 8th grade students, fostering a positive learning environment. Additional roles include a Front Desk Receptionist at The Miller Elder Law Firm, a Communications Intern at Girls on the Run - DC, and an Aquatic Ambassador for the City of Gainesville, ensuring safety as a lifeguard. Sophia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Georgetown University, complemented by an IB Diploma from Eastside High School.
