Janet leads the Nathan Cummings Foundation’s grantmaking team, serving as the primary point of contact for staff, board members, and grantees regarding the foundation’s operations, administration, and technical components of grantmaking. She oversees all aspects of grants management, including structuring grants, budgeting and payments, policies and compliance, and disseminating grant information with external and internal stakeholders. Janet is a seasoned philanthropic leader with over 14 years of hands-on experience in finance, grants management, and organizational development. Her work has focused on developing effective grantmaking processes, implementing technology systems, and creating infrastructures that align organizational values with intended field outcomes.

The Nathan Cummings Foundation is a multigenerational family foundation that is rooted in the Jewish tradition of social justice and works to create a more just, vibrant, sustainable, and democratic society. The foundation partners with social movements, organizations, and individuals who have creative and catalytic solutions to climate change and inequality.
