Teresita Maz

As part of the executive team of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation, Teresita is responsible for leading core internal functions of the organization, including financial operations, operational excellence, organizational compliance, board and officer management support, and internal administration. Teresita works with the team to translate mission, vision, and goals into clear operational strategy and specific actions that foster a culture of continuous improvement and help advance organizational and field practice change; deliver an exceptional experience to the grantees, partners, and other stakeholders; and support the organization for increased efficiency and effectiveness.

Teresita served on the leadership team of the PEAK Southeast Chapter and she has also served on boards of many North Carolina nonprofits. Currently, she is an international board advisor for a Kenya-based nonprofit that works with children and communities living in extreme poverty. She has supported these organizations with strategic planning, fundraising, and process and operational improvements.
