Zakiyah Williams Thomas

Zakiyah (she, her, hers) brings to PEAK over 10 years of experience in event management, communications, development, and operations. Most recently, Zakiyah worked for the Public Welfare Foundation supports efforts to catalyze a transformative approach to justice through reform. During her tenure at the foundation, she managed the day-to-day operations of the True Reformer Building. The True Reformer building is a cultural and civic Washington, DC, a landmark designed for community conversations, social innovation, and change. While managing the building’s operations in 2020, she also led a multimillion-dollar restoration project amid the pandemic.

Zakiyah is a California native who received her BA from Howard University, where she serves on the alumni relations committee.
