Mark Abbott

Mark Abbott is the Managing Director and Founder of Peak Proteins Ltd, a company specializing in various aspects of protein science, including engineering, expression, purification, and crystallography, since October 2014. Prior to this, Mark served as Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca from October 1990 to August 2014, where notable contributions included leading teams to deliver protein and cell reagents for drug discovery projects and successfully managing projects related to novel antibody discovery and oncology assays. Mark also held the position of Team Leader in Protein Science and began a career as a Post Doctoral Fellow at MRC, focusing on the purification and structural analysis of galactoside binding lectins. Mark holds a PhD in Biochemistry from Nottingham University and a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from Bath University.
