Anthony Watson

VP, Regulatory Affairs at Pear Therapeutics

Anthony (Tony) Watson serves as Vice President, Regulatory Affairs of Pear Therapeutics. Tony is a regulatory affairs professional with a proven track record of building strong medical device teams in the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as well as biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Since November 2015, he served as the Head of Global Regulatory Affairs – Devices at Sanofi. Before joining Sanofi, he was the Director of Regulatory Affairs, CMC, Combination Products at Biogen, Inc. in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Prior to joining Biogen in June of 2013, Tony was a Division Director in the Center for Devices and Radiological Health of the FDA. His division was responsible for review of devices that deliver drugs through infusion, injection, and inhalation as well as review and policy for software as a medical device (SaMD). Tony’s division was also responsible for administering the human factors program at FDA. He also served as Branch Chief of the General Hospital Devices Branch and was a reviewer for 10 years prior to becoming Branch Chief.

Tony has a bachelor’s degree in General Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and an MBA and Master of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Maryland University College (now University of Maryland Global Campus).
