Promit Basu

Promit Basu is a seasoned design professional and educator, currently serving as Co-Founder of E-Maje, an online art collective in Germany, since July 2021. In addition to this role, Promit has been an Innovation Ambassador at the Ministry Of Human Resource Development since August 2019, providing consulting and mentoring for startups and innovative businesses across multiple disciplines. As a Founding Faculty and Associate Professor at Pearl Academy since April 2022, Promit specializes in Interaction Design and Communication Design, focusing on areas such as HCI, AR/VR, and brand design. Previous experience includes roles as Founding Faculty and Assistant Professor at JK Lakshmipat University, Head of Design at Reliance Brands Limited, and Creative Partner at Hotstar, where Promit contributed to the brand's early strategic development. Educational qualifications include an M.Des in Communication Design from the National Institute of Design and two degrees from Jadavpur University focused on literature and culture studies.
