As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's IT systems, infrastructure, and networks. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide efficient IT support to end-users. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving IT issues while ensuring the smooth operation of our technology environment.

Responsibilities:

-System administration: Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, networks, and peripherals to ensure reliable and secure operations.

-User support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly and professionally.

-Network management: Manage and monitor local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks to ensure connectivity, performance, and security.

-Data management: Implement data backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical business data. Monitor data storage systems and perform regular backups.

-Cybersecurity: Implement and maintain effective security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems, to protect against potential threats and vulnerabilities.

-Software and hardware upgrades: Evaluate, recommend, and implement software and hardware upgrades, patches, and replacements to improve system performance and functionality.

-IT documentation: Create and maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, network configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and user guides.

-IT procurement: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source and acquire IT equipment, software licenses, and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compatibility.

-IT policies and procedures: Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and guidelines to promote data security, user compliance, and best practices.

-Stay updated on emerging technologies: Continuously enhance technical knowledge and stay informed about new IT trends and solutions relevant to the organization's needs.

Requirements:

-Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, CCNA, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.

-Proven experience as an IT Specialist or in a similar role, demonstrating proficiency in IT infrastructure management and support.

-Strong technical knowledge across multiple areas, including operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), hardware troubleshooting, network protocols, and cybersecurity principles.

-Experience with network administration, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN setups.

-Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, with a strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

-Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery procedures and familiarity with data storage systems.

-Understanding of cybersecurity principles, including malware prevention, vulnerability management, and data protection.

-Familiarity with cloud-based services (e.g., Office 365, Google Workspace) and experience in managing cloud-based systems.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users effectively.

-Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
