Cynthia Adams is the Co-Founder and CEO of Pearl Certification. Cynthia has dedicated their career to sustainability and green building, working with various organizations to make a positive impact.

Adams started their journey in 1998, when they co-founded StoneMetalWood, a sustainable design/build firm. For 10 years, they worked on projects large and small, helping clients create beautiful and sustainable spaces. In 2005, they co-founded Blue Heron Tile and Interiors, a green building materials company. And in 2007, they founded Greener Side Consulting, a green building consulting firm.

In 2008, Adams became the Climate Protection Program Coordinator for the City of Charlottesville. In this role, they worked to engage the community in climate protection efforts and reduce the city's carbon footprint. Cynthia also helped to establish Charlottesville as a leader in the field of sustainability.

In 2010, Adams became the Executive Director of LEAP-VA (Local Energy Alliance Program), a non-profit organization that promotes energy efficiency and renewable energy. Under their leadership, LEAP grew rapidly, becoming one of the most respected sustainability organizations in Virginia.

In 2015, Adams co-founded Pearl Certification, a company that provides third-party certification for green buildings. Pearl is changing the way buildings are designed and built, making it easier for everyone to create a more sustainable future.
