Irina Baburina

Irina Baburina has extensive work experience in the biotechnology and diagnostics industry. Irina is currently serving as the Vice President of R&D and Quality at Pearl Diagnostics, Inc. since November 2022.

Prior to their current role, Irina held multiple positions at Saladax Biomedical Inc. From January 2012 to January 2021, they served as the Vice President of R&D and Operations, where they were responsible for various aspects of the R&D organization, including strategy development, budgeting, and team management. Irina also provided strategic input and oversight for multiple immunoassays and companion diagnostics in the company's product pipeline. Furthermore, Irina managed a team of 16 R&D scientists, 2 Operations scientists, and collaborated with external experts. Before that, they held the role of Sr. Director of R&D and Operations at the same company.

Earlier in their career, Irina worked at Roche Diagnostics, where they held managerial roles from January 2005 to December 2010. Their responsibilities included overseeing operations and management.
