Jody Thornton

Jody Thornton is the current Chief Financial Officer and Manager of Accounting & Financial Services at PEARL RIVER VALLEY ELECTRIC POWER ASSOCIATION. Prior to this, they served as Principal at Topp McWhorter Harvey, PLLC from November 2013 to January 2020 where they oversaw and managed client relations specializing in retail/distribution, manufacturing, oil field service, refrigerated transportation, leasing companies, and electric power associations.

Thornton has experience in both the public and private sector, having served as Assistant Commissioner of the Mississippi Department of Revenue and as a Tax Manager at KPMG, one of the world's largest accounting firms. Jody is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor's degree in accounting from Mississippi State University.

They work with Billy McCrary - Wiggins District Manager, George Cutrer - Hattiesburg, Purvis District Manager, and Shane Coleman - Columbia District Manager, Operations. Jody Thornton reports to Matthew Ware, CEO & General Manager.
