Ebrahim Matthews

Ebrahim Matthews is an experienced leader in the education and finance sectors with a career spanning over two decades. Since August 2016, Ebrahim has held multiple senior vice president roles at Pearson, focusing on international higher education, product development, and English language learning, while also serving as Executive Chairman and Managing Director for Pearson South Africa. Additional leadership experience includes chairing the Board of Trustees for Pearson Marang Education Trust and the Board of Platter's Wine Guide, as well as serving as Managing Director for Diners Club International and holding executive roles at Standard Bank Group and Mastercard. Ebrahim's educational background includes an Executive Development Programme from Northeastern University, an Executive Education in Product Management from the University of California, Berkeley, and multiple degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand, including a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts.
