Eric Matteson

Eric Matteson serves as the Chief Technology Officer and Head of Technology for Enterprise Learning and Skills at Pearson since October 2025. Additionally, Matteson has been an advisor at DREST since March 2021 and previously held the role of Chief Technology Officer at Accurx from September 2024 to September 2025. A seasoned technology leader, Matteson has extensive experience in various senior positions, including Vice President of Merchant Experience at Checkout.com and Vice President of Global Engineering at Avast. Prior roles include significant leadership positions at Improbable and Amazon, as well as a substantial tenure at Blizzard Entertainment, Microsoft, and early experience at UC San Diego. Matteson's expertise encompasses managing engineering teams, leading game and software development projects, and pioneering testing strategies for identity and access technologies.
