Stephen Posey has extensive experience in the food industry, with a focus on food safety and quality assurance. Stephen currently holds the position of Executive Vice President of Global Food Safety & Quality Assurance at the Pecan Deluxe Candy Company, a role they have held since November 2016. Prior to this, they worked at US Foods as a Regional Manager of Food Safety & Quality Assurance from 2012 to 2016. Posey also spent 12 years at Brinker International, where they served as Director of Quality Assurance & Food Safety. Their career began in 1994 at Dutch Quality House/Wayne Farms, where they were both a Quality Assurance Supervisor and Operations Supervisor.
Stephen Posey received their Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from LSU Shreveport from 1994 to 1998. Stephen also obtained an MBA in Business Administration from the same institution. In terms of certifications, Posey obtained the Preventive Control Qualified Individual and Preventive Control Qualified Individual - Lead Instructor certifications from the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) in February 2016. Additionally, they received Advanced HACCP certification from the Food Processors Institute. Posey is also a Certified Food Safety Professional accredited by the National Environmental Health Association. Stephen completed the Dale Carnegie Course in Leadership Training for Managers. Moreover, they received the title of Food Protection Management Program Instructor from the Texas Department of State Health Services. Posey's other certifications include HACCP Certified by the Seafood HACCP Alliance, Lead Auditor from ASI Food Safety, Registered Environmental Health Sanitarian from the National Environmental Health Association, ServSafe Instructor from the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF), and Supplier Certification from the Saddle Island Institute.
