Joshua Groleau

Co-Founder / CEO at Pecos Wind Power

Joshua Groleau has worked in the renewable energy field since 2008. Joshua began their career as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at General Electric Energy in 2008, followed by an internship at Shoals Marine Laboratory in 2009, where they analyzed the performance of photovoltaic arrays. In 2010, they interned at Centro Tecnológico de Componentes, researching and writing a report on the state-of-the-art of joints for sectional wind turbine towers. In 2011, they worked as a Wind Turbine Loads Engineer and Mechanical Engineer at Siemens Wind Power, determining the suitability of turbines for project sites outside of standard IEC 61400-1 conditions. From 2015 to 2017, Joshua worked as a Sustaining Engineer at Ogin, Inc., supporting the operation and maintenance of their fleet of 7 prototype turbines. Most recently, Joshua worked as Co-Founder and CEO of Pecos Wind Power, driving down the LCOE of distributed wind turbines to make it economical for commercial electricity customers to switch to wind power.

Joshua Groleau attended Cornell University from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. From 2009 to 2010, they attended Universidad de Cantabria for a field of study in Mechanical Engineering.
