Diogo Santos

Diogo Santos has a diverse range of work experience in the field of software development and engineering. Diogo started their career as a Systems integrator and developer at MASDIMA, Lda. where they worked on multi-agent protocol/algorithm development and maintenance in the context of airline disruption management. Diogo also gained experience as an E-ELT Control Software Engineer at the European Southern Observatory, where they developed software modules for the control of the Extremely Large Telescope. Diogo has also worked as a Software Engineer for the Porto City Council, focusing on Cooperative Intelligent Transportation Systems. Diogo has contributed to research projects at the LIACC - Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science Laboratory, specializing in computer vision applications in transportation systems. Additionally, they have experience as a Software Developer at PeekMed, working on multi-platform desktop development with C++ and Qt. Throughout their career, Diogo has demonstrated expertise in various programming languages and frameworks, including C++, Python, and Qt. Diogo has also been involved in professional organizations such as IEEE Student Branch Universidade do Porto and has served as a Microsoft Student Partner.

Diogo Santos has a Master's degree in Informatics and Computing Engineering, specializing in Computer Software Engineering, from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto. Diogo completed their Master's degree from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, Diogo obtained a high school diploma in Science and Technology from Escola Secundária Garcia de Orta, which they completed between 2008 and 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Diogo has obtained several certifications. Diogo completed courses in Artificial Intelligence Planning, R Programming, and Machine Learning from Coursera, earning their certifications in March 2015 and December 2014 respectively. Diogo also participated in an Arduino Workshop organized by the IEEE Universidade do Porto Student Branch, where they obtained a certification in April 2014.
