Zahwa Kammouj

Zahwa Kammouj currently serves as the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Project Coordinator at Peel Children's Aid since March 2023. Prior experience includes roles at the Brampton Multicultural Centre, where Zahwa worked as a Youth Engagement Specialist and School Settlement Counsellor from November 2018 to March 2023. Zahwa also held a position as Lead Facilitator at Peel Region for a brief period in late 2018 and volunteered as an ECC Facilitator and Adult Literacy Program Facilitator at the Rexdale Women's Centre between September 2017 and November 2018. Additional volunteer experience includes participation in the YMCA of Greater Toronto's Newcomer Youth Leadership Development Program and child minding at SHIP Angela's Place in late 2017. Zahwa completed a Distinction Diploma in Community Service Worker at triOS College in 2017 and has further education from Academie Michel Ange Des Beaux Arts Liban and Lebanese University.
