Amar Bhachoo

Amar Bhachoo, CFA, is a finance professional with extensive experience in closed-end funds trading and portfolio management. Currently, Amar is engaged in systematic CEF strategies at Peel Hunt since November 2025. Prior to this, Amar served as a Portfolio Manager at Eisler Capital and held the position of Head of Trading at Investec, specializing in alternative focused closed-end funds. Earlier roles include Vice President and Trader in closed-end funds at Canaccord Genuity and an analyst position at Credit Suisse, where basic concepts of equity derivatives were introduced. Amar began a career in finance as an FX Analyst at Westpac and previously worked as an analyst at Vertical Oracle Ventures. Educational qualifications include a Master of Chemistry degree from the University of Oxford.
